Finalized & Shipping
I am confused
I just checked my coins, and two sets are finalized. Confused though. It may be a typo, but they have 2 1947D .50c in my list, and I am missing my 1947D nickel on the list. .05, .50 typo?? And my 1947D dime is listed as a 1946D dime. Another typo? Do typo's happen frequently? And if these are typos, will this information be on the slabs? Very interesting to find out. Anyway, what they listed was a bit disappointing. It is as follows:
The only MS66's I got was the 1947P dime, and the 1947D half. The 1947P nickel made MS65, as did all 3 pennies. The pennies are classified RD. The rest were 63's & lower, and my 1947S dime says 'improperly cleaned'. It dosent have a 'ms' with it, so I assume it didnt get a plastic home. So if the mis-information are 'typo's' then I need to find another 1947S dime to replace the improperly cleaned one. If I missed a mintmark or two somewhere, and they are right, I need to find a 1947D dime & nickel. Very confused about this. Anyway, my other batch was ready also. They are as follows:
1921P Merc dime-- AG3 no big surprise there.
1883 No Cents V nickel--- XF45 thought it would grade higher, but it has a nick on the obv.
1934D Merc dime-- Planchet Flaw on obv.
1913 Dime -- Obverse Scratched
1851 Large Cent-- Enviromental Damage
I am assuming that the ones that dont have an 'MS' number, were not assigned a grade. Did they at least encapsulize them? I hope so. Well, I will wait for the coins to get here, and inventory the damage, lick my wounds, and figure out which coins to send in next.
