I find myself doing the same thing.

Davelem wrote about how he checks every coin he gets. Thank God, I am not the only one! I thought something may be wrong with me, maybe some kind of obsessive/compulsive disorder or something. I recently found a 1964 dime, and two 1964 quarters just last week. Silver has a certain 'ping' to it when it comes into contact with most any surface. I used to work in a casino coin room, and when the coins were swirling around in the bins, every now and then you would hear that familiar ping, and stop the machine to fish it, or sometimes, 'them' out. We were fortunate enough to work for a property that allowed you to buy the coins you wanted at face value. When I started there about 9 years ago, I made about $20.00 a week in silver. One time, a fellow worker found $80.00 face value of silver halves, walkers, and Franklins. He sold them, at the time, for 4 times face. Not bad when you make $7.50 per hour lugging buckets of coins around. Well, keep looking, as I know I will.
