NGC, PCGS, and ICG
Is the Grey Book wrong?
Well according to COIN DEALER NEWS, ICG IS AS ACCURATE AS NGC OR PCGS, IF NOT MORE. AS OF JANUARY 5, 2007 ICG HAS AN OVERALL ACCURACY RATING OF 80.24%, NGC IS 79.13%, PCGS IS 84.71% and ANACS IS 56.83%, if I am reading correctly. ICG is second only to PCGS. CDN Greysheet has repeatedly shown that ICG has a higher grading average than NGC.
Can anyone explain why then ICG does not have the reputation amoung the hobby as NGC or PCGS. Would love to hear some opinions.
