Appearance Review
'Taking longer' does not = 'quality'!
I recently submitted a 2006 PF 70, NGC Amer. Silver Eagle for appearance review. The coin had a scratch located near the center of the obverse, visible with no magnification.
It was returned exactly as I sent it, with no comment.
So far, the first grader missed it, and, assuming the coin was actually reviewed, it was missed a second time. I taped a piece of paper to the slab with an arrow pointing to the defect!
When a company takes longer than they advertise, it's not because they are spending several hours making sure that the grading is up to 'higher standards'. It is simply a matter of greed and disrespect.
I submitted the coin for the second time, almost 2 months ago, with a letter explaining the situation. No one even had the good taste to send a follow-up email, let alone speed things up or appologize.
