Another substantial accomplishment* that, over time, will also slide in to obscurity having never reached the top ten.
*In my humble opinion anyway.Amazingly, it has been exactly 9 months and 5 days since my last journal entry (The Bucks). With thanx to Ed's Elegant Coins (www.edselegantcoins.com), I am a Father again.Today I registered the last two coins in Modern Commemoratives 1982-Date, Proofs Only! Like The Bucks, The Proofs came in just shy of the lofty single digits, ranking 13 with only higher numbers to come. The Proofs were held to the same standards as The Bucks; All NGC graded xx69's, No transfers from other grading services, and all purchased on-line (99% on eBay). So have a cigar (I can't stand 'em) and I'll keep on plodding along - It's gonna be awhile - need 1 MS-69 Half-Dollar (and I bet you know which one that is), 1 $10 gold MS-69, and 5 $5 gold MS-69's.There are still deals to be had (I sure hope that's true as I hunt down these last few coins), even as FMV's continue to climb. My master registry set in "Modern Commemoratives 1982-Date, Complete" originally started as a long-term investment is currently averaging <72% cost vs. FMV.But the very best part; unlike any other investment that I can think of, is that: I can sit down, hold them in my lap and with a smile on my face marvel in their beauty.Oh, I can't wait for my next child!!!!
