A Tale of Two Dimes

One is a low pop and the other is a Pop 2!!

Hello everyone! This has been a work in progress over the last several months. No, I don't collect dimes. So why two dimes? Well these are members of my #1 1947 Mint Set honoring my Mom, the Linda C. Prescott Birth Year Mint Set.

With Paul selling several of his coins in this set, I have now moved to lead by more than 8300 points with these two additions. With upgrades becoming both expensive and scarce, I turned to my fellow participants in this set. I found two willing members, Jason Collinger and Todd Henson, who sold these dimes to me for great prices, though steep.

I added the first one a while back, a 1947 P MS67*FT. Just today I added the second one, a 1947 D MS67*FT. Granted I had both of these coins in MS67FT (no star) but I wanted the big guys (not counting and out of my price range 68's). Unlike the rest of my coins in the set, they are both toned. With NGC, that is often how you get Star rated coins. So I have to live with them not being white like my 1947 S MS67*FT.

Anyway, I leave you with a picture of the newest coin, 1947 D.

Please check out the set at your convenience.

Thanks for reading and visiting.
