Awareness Continues to Climb

Public awareness of the new Presidential $1 Coin Program is increasing as the program moves through its first year.

In November 2006, when the designs for the coins were unveiled in Washington, D.C., 15 to 20 percent of the American public were aware of the Presidential $1 Coin. Well, six months and two coin launches later, the public awareness for this program has reached the 64% mark. And that mark should continue to grow as the Thomas Jefferson $1 Coin and the James Madison $1 Coin will launch on August 16 and November 15, respectively, joining the George Washington and John Adams Presidential $1 Coins. These four coins mark the inaugural year of this multi-year program that honors our Nation's presidents.

We have added to our website a downloadable Presidential $1 Coin Screensaver.
