I dont know you turn your back for a second and you miss something on ebay..

 

i have been watching USA Commemorative coins on eBay for ages looking for a bargin.. and they have all been doing rather well

 

I found these two in germany (where the prices have been high for a while)

 

thaught to myself .. bet they go silly.. i will not bother and went and made tea.. came back and foreheadslap.gif

These are some of the more prolific commemoratives available dooly.

 

Booker T came out in sets of 3 from the mints from 1946 to 1951

 

Carver/Wahington from 1951 to 1954

 

Sets from the same year from all three mints P,D,S in high grades still go for a premium, individual coins go for much less.

I would have passed on the first one, given the big black spot and fingerprints. The second looks like it might have been nice, but I would be afraid the glare was covering something.
