Kennedy Half dollar is this the defanition of Blast white ? also Missing DI ?

Just opened my 71 mints and could any one tell me if this is what i keep seeing on eBay as "BLAST WHITE" coin as the whole of one set of Denver mint coins are totaly frosted.. the Dime is as white as snow 893applaud-thumb.gif

also you may like to pass opinion on the ? Missing Designer's Initials from the other denver mint "Shiny" probably a filled die as a trace is visible in some light angles but i got a little exited until i looked it CP Vol2 and seen its the 1972 where you should be looking for this error

Is there a weak FG in your book?? I know that if NGC sees any part of the initials they won't award the No FG designation...The right 71 D is really nice by the way..

Thanks for the awnser MAULEMALL the book i am looking in is the Cherrypickers' Guide Vol II and has two Kennedy Half dollars listed with Missing Designer's Initials the 1966, Special Mint set and the 1972 D but there is no refrence to Partial missing DI's frown.gifo well i think i will post the other "Frostys" from the set to make me feel better yay.gif

There are no initials for other years as well. Just because CP doesn't list them doesn't mean they don't exist. (wow a triple negative) The best known of the no initial halves hat CP doesn't list are the 1982 and 1983 isues.

Here is an example of the 1982, No "FG" and one missing the "F". I don't know whether the latter is due to a weak strike or a filled die. 1792265-IMG_1516.JPG1792265-IMG_1519.JPG
