A Nicely Toned Proof Lincoln

7 posts in this topic

Looks like a nice album tone without any problems around the rim, but then again what's a proof Lincoln doing in an album?

Perplexing.

Proof sets from the 30s & 40s were stored in small black cardbord holders with plastic slides about the size of a 3 x 5 card - I have a buch of those holders - they were in use until the mid 50s - Those holders caused lots of the proof coins to "tarnish"

Well, you know, your right, those were those Alligator looking skin cardboard holders with silver print...haven't seen one of those in quite a few decades.
