Superb 1898-O DMPL Dollar with 12"+ Mirrors--New Photos

As many of you probably know, I'm not really a morgan fan unless the coins are toned. As such, I only own three white pieces: a phenomenally frosted 1880-S gem, an 1884-CC with a gorgeous original skin and frosty lustre, and this 1898-O. Basically, unless the coin makes me go "wow, this is not something you see every day," I won't buy it as a white dollar.

 

I bought this piece some two or three years ago. It was raw and $25. It subsequently slabbed MS63DPL at NGC, with claims to MS64. Regardless of the holder, though, the coin stands on its own merits having absolutely clear, liquid 12"+ mirrors and extremely thick cameo frost. The coin really looks like a proof.

 

I finally photographed this piece for the first time since before it was slabbed. Showing the mirrors is hard, so in addition to many angles, I'm also showing a picture from its raw days. I really, really like this piece, and don't think I'd ever let it go for anywhere close to the guides.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I should note that the sticker you see on the reverse says "NGC cpm9ball wants it," put there a long time ago when he asked me to sell. Sorry, but it's still not for sale

Jeremy, I still want that coin! How much? I bought this one at a very fair price from James awhile back, and I cracked it out of an ANACS MS63DMPL.
