slab question

2 posts in this topic

hello to all,

i have heard that ngc cleans(to some extent) coins to facillitate their grading process. i have an MS66 Roosevelt ngc slabbed with dirt around the obverse rim. i have an MS67 Roosevelt ngc slabbed that i swear it looks far better than before slabbed. i have read other posts on different forums that have similiar stories. any info in that regard?

thanks

jes

NCS will "conserve" coins for a fee, but there are the rare stories of coins that come back from NGC and PCGS looking different than they previously looked.
