Sweet, sweet coin cloud9.gif

Maybe you can ask Santa if he can deliver it to you paid in full for Christmas, Mike! That way you can answer the eternal question if there really is a Santa Claus in the coin industry smirk.gif

Looks like the small stars model. Strike on the stars and left wing facing look good, which is unusual for this variety. But I would expect no less for a gem grade.

I'd really like to see this one and see how the luster is. I can't get a good read from the image. My favorite variety of the year too.

hey stman, they say the luster is 'strong' and "Opportunity can't knock any louder here for the serious Bust Half specialist", so what's holding you back????stooges.gifstooges.gifstooges.gif

I guess that I'll be the only one to state that the coin has poor eye-appeal to me. I hope it's just a problem with imaging, but that toning patterns looks "sludgey" to me, like it was painted on. Was it dipped ans subsequently allowed to retone in such an odd manner? I just don't care for the "camo" colors.

The strike is spectacular, but even given the world's worst imaging angle, there's not the slightest impression of luster whatsoever. It looks flat and impaired to me.

What I don't understand either is this quote:

Opportunity can't knock any louder here for the serious Bust Half specialist-even if you offered six figures you can't buy another PCGS GEM!

If it's really impossible to buy another "PCGS GEM!" for less than six figures, then why is this one being offered for less than six figures?

I hope I'm completely wrong, and that it's just an incident of poor imaging.

When they say 'the luster is strong', you know that that is a kind of FLAT statement.

You're probably right about the coin in some ways it would probably be dissapointing.
