Through the Years in Coins: 1800 to 1900

After the success of the Through the Years in Coins: 1900 to 2006 thread I started (3700 views and 260 posts), I thought it might be a lot of fun to start a more difficult version of the game.

 

The Rules:

 

(1) The first person posts an image of a US coin or pattern coin (no medals, tokens, etc) they own or have owned (i.e. no photos of coins you just took off the web, eBay, etc) that is dated 1800. The next poster follows with an image of a coin from 1801, then 1802...

 

(2) Over/under dates are allowed, as long as one of them is the next required date.

 

(3) If nobody posts the next year's coin within 48 hours of the last post, you are allowed to

skip to the next year in line. If you accidentally post after someone and thus

include the same year twice, please edit the duplicate year post and delete it.

 

(4) Limit image width to 850 pixels maximum.

 

(5) Please, limit your posts to a maximum of 5 years per post so other people have a chance.

 

(6) Discussion is allowed, but try to stay on topic.

 

Have fun! I don't have an 1800 coin, so someone else will have to start us off!
