1933 Century of Progress Colorado So-Called Dollar

The state of Colorado did not have funding to participate in the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. Not to miss out on the opportunity, a Commission was formed to raise the money. The Commission minted ounce tokens of pure silver (containing 28 cents worth of silver), and sold them for one dollar each. Here is an example of the most common type IV dollar:
