My Kind of Birthday Present

I was celebrating my birthday a little early this evening, due to my hectic schedule on my real birthday next Monday. My mom, acting on strict orders...er...suggestions, gave me this lovely 2006 ASE proof, which she picked up for me several months ago. Photographing this proof was remarkably easy, so here it is for everyone's enjoyment. I think it's an absolutely beautiful specimen. What do y'all think?

I love the design of the ASE's! The Weinman Walking Liberty design is one of my favorites. The heraldic eagle on the reverse is not one of my favorites, but it is the official seal of the US and very well executed. I have every proof ASE except the 1996-W 10th anniversary edition. They're wonderful!

 

Also, it's a great picture.
