This is one of those sad coins.

The 1849 small O is a really tough coin in MS. Someone years ago thought they would help it out with a cleaning. Over time it turned dark and is close to being flat ugly. The rusty die didn't help in the looks department either. Like most coins, it's what it is, and should not have been messed with.
