Bob, as you requested......more from Mom

The first four are pen & ink sketches that my Mom drew as a little girl nearly 75 years ago.

Watercolor - "Sanibel Lighthouse"

"Rip-Off" - "Fishing 101" This is something Mom came up with in the early 90's. She was tearing up some old watercolor paintings and she decided to make pictures from the pieces.

Watercolor - "Back Bay"

Watercolor - "The Hokey Pokey" Mom had a lot of fun with this. She used turtles for the notes, and that is the actual music for the song. She would have 8x10 prints made to give to elementary school teachers for their music class.

The Model T, The Boy withg wings, and the guy next to the barber shop are my favorites. Very nice work. She truly had a talent. Thanks for sharing!

Chris----You know, I could carve a tooth in the mouth with a gold knife and make it smooth as a baby's aXX. But, I could never draw a thing----except a tooth. I'd swear that the elephant in the first sketch is smiling. My humble opinion is your mom's work belongs somewhere---not only at your home. They say that once an artist has passed that then they become even more famous. Your mom's work is "SPECIAL". That it belongs where more than a few can see it----is self evident. Bob [supertooth]

Bob, I too can tell that the elephant is amused. smile.gif

Mom certainly didn't limit herself to a single medium. She was extremely talented. I am blessed to have her work of Caleb and Baby Luv. I wish that I had them with me now to photograph and share.

They are all truly amazing....you Mom had more talent in her little toe then I have in my whole body!!! I think we are all truly blessed to have the opportunity to see her amazing works of art. If I saw any one of her pieces hanging in a Museum I would think the rest of art in the museum was lacking in quality!!! 893applaud-thumb.gif
