Can toned coins continue to tone in...

Can mild toned coins continue to tone in PCGS or NGC slabs? I have a few morgans and proof eagles that were toned when slabed and I wasx wondering if they will continue to tone? If so does it slow the process down once they have been slabed?

Coins will tone as long as they are exposed to an environment that fosters toning. This may include residues left on the coin from previous storage or alteration and also may include chemicals and gases with the ambient storage environment.
