That's a nice catch and the seller definitely left money on the table by not mentioning the motto in the auction. These are a little tougher to grade than other issues, save the 1932, so let us know how it looks in-hand.

Nothing new lately........deals have been hard to come by on Ebay lately. For a few months there, I was having good luck, now I can't seem to find much worth bidding on, and when I do, I get sniped at the last second. I like the idea of the Dansco type set, so I'm thinking of working on that for awhile.

What is the difference in between the light motto and heavy motto (or better yet WHY the difference)?

 

Would you actually stick this coin in an album? This one looks like a definite slab (or protection) to me.

There are 3 mottos for that year, Light, Heavy and Regular or Medium. Light looks like its almost washed off. Heavy and Regular motto, look really simular except that the W is different. The W on a heavy motto, has the Middle of the W higher than the rest of the motto. As to your second question. Yes this is going to stay raw and not in a slab.

A regular Motto MS64 is worth $50.00 or so, Then a Light Motto is worth $210.00 or so in MS64, $400.00 or So in MS65, and $800.00 or so in MS66 and in $4,000 or so in MS67
