Oh Canada.....new Toned Dollar purchase

Yes and this auction was a bit of a sleeper since it didn't have rainbow or toned or anything in the auction header. I still paid about the going price for these though so it wasn't a total rip

Yeah,I think I might need to check the foriegn coin section more often for toners...usually I just browse the morgans.

Why is it that so much of Canada's coinage commemorates Queen Elizabeth II ?

 

Even so long after Canada's independence?

 

Is she somehow a symbol like Ms. Liberty? and if so, how?
