Good old fashioned coin pic post thread

80 posts in this topic

Post a pic of a coin or 2 you haven't posted in a while (or ever). The reverse of the quarter isn't a grease fill but a scratched slab.

I love posting pics of great coins. And now that I'm really getting the hang of the new version of Photoshop the coins are just popping out like they do in real life.

I picked up a nice 1867 no rays nickel a few months back. I haven't imaged it yet or I would make it three of a kind.

Here's one I can't remember posting here before, but it is in my registry set.

Hoot, that thing is not a nickel, despite what someone may have told you. Please send it to me and I will make sure it is put in it's proper habitate with those of its own kind.

nice oregon ... NGC MS 66?

Thanks. It's actually in an NGC MS65 holder, but I don't think anyone would argue if they saw it in a 66 holder.

Damnit! When that thing melted at 960 deg. C, I thought something was wrong sumo.gif. (Nickel melts at 1455 C. 893whatthe.gifinsane.gif)

Is this one not nickel too?

You clearly are having some troubles with your collecting goals. Just send me your complete collection and I will return all the nickels and "take care" of all the other stuff that you don't need.

stman - look at that awful dribble coming off the chin of Liberty on that lousy 50c piece of yours - Please send the coin to me so that I can keep it from injuring your collection (and to keep it away from RGT who is clearly confused about coins). insane.gif
