Kelflo
I found this today in a nickel roll. What is this? Weight is 4.84 grams
Sandon
Welcome to the NGC chat board. Whatever this was, it is now mutilated beyond recognition. Based on its weight, it likely was a U.S. nickel (not silver) but is now scrap metal. Edited 8 hours ago by Sandon

Fenntucky Mike
As Sandon stated, the piece is mutilated beyond recognition. Possibly started out life as a nickel but in this condition I'm not sure you could even make that determination, could just as likely be a slug of some sort. What ever it was it doesn't matter anymore.
