Looks like a filled die error on the "L." I think the disturbance on the top of the "E" is where something hit the coin, moving metal a bit. Not something that will make you rich, but an interesting find

🐓 :  Lemme see if I understand this correctly...

If your '76 LHC is missing a letter, it's a Filled Die error.

On the other hand, if your '22 LHC is missing a letter that happens to be a mint mark, a criminal conspiracy is afoot.

Why isn't that a Filled Die error?

Q.A.:  I don't know.  Both have missing letters and I am willing to bet two different diagnoses. The beauty of numismystique.
