Freida Goodhome
I am new to coin collecting. These were taken with a microscope and despite the look, they are in focus. Is this a grease error on both sides? I'm not even sure if it's Denver or Philly by the mint mark. Thanks for any kind advice.
Coinbuf
No this is not what a grease clogged die strike looks like. This look is the result of a severely worn over used dies. Freida Goodhome
Freida Goodhome
Thank you. Is there any value for a coin like this?

But if you find it interesting there is no reason you cannot hold onto it, if for no other reason than as an example of what a coin struck from worn dies looks like.
