Jkaps57
Spoiler I've had this coin about 20 years got it from my dad. Wondering overall what it might be worth.
Administrator AllisonC CS Posted May 14 Administrator Share Posted May 14 Hi @Jkaps57, Thank you for contacting us. NGC does not assign values, purchase, or sell coins. The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your coin was lost or damaged while with us. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your coin. If your coin was grossly under-valued, we reserve the right to bump it to the appropriate tier. Good resources for determining the value of your coins are completed eBay auctions and the posted prices by large coin dealers. We do have a coin price guide on our website which might offer some information. These prices come to us from a third-party and are based on current auction pricing: US Price Guide or World Price Guide. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you! Sandon
Welcome to the NGC chat board. As NGC does not provide free opinions, you should post topics like this on the "Newbie Coin Collecting Questions" forum or the "U.S., World, and Ancient Coins" forum. No, you should not "send it in." Your purported 1795 Draped Bust silver dollar is an obvious counterfeit of a type that has been mass produced in China for the last several decades. See 1795 DRAPED BUST $1 MS | Coin Explorer | NGC (ngccoin.com) to see what a genuine one looks like.
Greenstang
Agree with Sandon. A typical counterfeit with no value. If you sent it in it would just returned as counterfeits are not graded. Edited May 14 by Greenstang
