Good afternoon

I have a few pennies that looks to be stamped hard on the reverse. It shows the base metal above United States of America letters . I cant get a good picture to show. Any help would be good.

If the pennies you have were made after 1982 those coins are a zinc core with a very thin copper plating.  Sometimes so thin that when coined the plating will stretch and break creating split plating as @Greenstang noted above.   If you google split plating you will find some examples to compare to yours.
