I exchanged some bills for some dollar coins. I found this proof that has lines on th rim that look like they are from gaps in the dies. Thoughts? Is it unique? TIA

Perfectly normal.  The edge lettering is applied to the proof dollars using a three part segmented die.  Those vertical line are the separation between the segments just as you surmised. They are found on all proof President and NA dollars.

That’s why I was asking. Not knowing if it was worth more than a dollar being a proof.

It's an impaired Proof, it has been damaged.
