1882 O Over S Morgan Dollar? 0

Is this an O over S?  I've been looking closely at a coin collection I recently inherited, and have been trying to identify them.  The O on this one looks like there is a dash through the middle.  Thanks!

It does appear to be an O/S. There were three dies with the over mint mark that year, and they are designated VAM 3, 4, and 5. Yours appears to be VAM 4, but you can check the die markers to be sure. Here is the link to the VAMworld page:

Just for informational purposes - that is also a LDS coin ( Late Die State )

Early die state coins are highly sought after and tough to find. This is the more common variety.
