FAQ

What is a VSO?
A VSO is not an auction; its a sale, with a secret reserve price. All the lots have no starting price, and the bidders may offer any amount they think the lot might be worth. When a bidder reaches the secret reserve price, the lot is sold to whoever reached it first.

How do i sign up?
Easy and simple, by clicking here.

What if my bid is higher than the reserve price?
Independently of your bid, the lot will be sold for the reserve price. If you bid 1000 euros above the reserve price, it will be sold by the reserve price the same.

How does Bentes handle shipping?
When the VSO is over, we send the winning bidders an invoice, with the total amount to be paid, and the handling/shipping fees included for the Portuguese registered mail. If you prefer any other type of shipment, please contact us at info@bentes.com to arrange it prior to the end of the VSO.

How is payment done?
The invoice will bear an IBAN coordinate number for the payment via wire transfer; if you prefer to pay with your credit card, we can send you a PayPal link for the payment, with a surplus tax of 6% charged for the service.

For further information, consult the terms of service of our website; for further inquiries, feel free to write us at info@bentes.com.

I see that there is a lifetime authenticity guarantee, but no guarantee regarding grading. Is there any guarantee concerning condition (cleaning, puttying, tooling, etc.)?

Hi Bob

As stated in our terms of service, we give full lifetime guarantee on the authenticity of coins. Being, however, the grading of a coin an opinion, we cannot give any guarantee on it, since a graded coin, if graded again, could have a different outcome.

As regards condition, we do give lifetime guarantee as well, as any form of manipulation will be included in the description of the piece. If a coin is sold and the buyer finds any sign of cleaning, tooling, or any other form of manipulation that is not clearly stated in the description, he/she has the right to claim the payment back within a reasonable time (see terms of service).

If you have any other concerns, do not hesitate to contact us. We look forwartd to hearing from you, and eagerly wait to have you among our database of clients for our next VSO!
