Lincoln error

Not an error, it is only an error if it happens during the striking of the coin.

What you have is intentional damage. Someone has cut a circle in the cent and rotated it. You can see a ridge on the reverse. Everything else is just damage.

I used to see things like this quite often, then they dried up.  Now this is the second one I've seen this year.  Sometimes when they did these they would rotate the plug and put it back in, sometimes they would fip it over and put it in, and sometimes they would insert a plug taken from another coin.  For example a plug from tha dime inserted into a cent or vice versa.
