For the Liberty gold $10 eagle 1907 in the NGC census I see the reference 1907/7 VP-002.  What does the 07/7 mean about the coin? And what is the VP-002 referring to?

What should I be looking for when examining such a coin?  Any thoughts about the effect of these designations on value?

Numeral 7 was repunched north of the first impression.

This variety is quite similar to VP-001, but the date position is clearly different.
