American Silver Eagles have been (and are) plated in gold and sold by several companies, and are available in several places, including Ebay.

Unfortuanlty, the gold plating is often seen as a negative to collectors. For those who are simply stacking bullion this may not be an issue. To answer your question, no it does not add any value and in some circumstances could actually detract from what a dealer may be willing to pay because the plating is post mint damage.
