Half Dime question

2 posts in this topic

Hi,

This is the reverse of a mint state 1838 No Drapery Half Dime. It appears to have rev 7 with a crack running through "f" of "of" into the wreath. It also has what appears to be a die gouge? which I've circled. Is this a gouge and if so how common was this? Is there a specific variety for this reverse beyond the Valentine 7?

Thanks so much laugh.gif
