Just Cherried an MS 1928-S Lincoln "Large S"

Went to my local dealer to shoot the breeze, and happened to see an MS 1928-S Cent he had on display for $69.95.

 

I asked him to show it to me, and when I looked at it, it was the Large S variety. I know from the Cherrypickers Guide that this coin is very scarce in Mint State, so I bought it.

 

Now, it's not a great coin. It's typical of the strike for that year, it's RB, and mushy, probably a 60 or 61.

 

But I know it's worth more than I paid. I felt like a king when I walked out of there!

 

I love this Hobby.....do your homework, everybody. The coins are out there.
