rummaging through box of coins

Here are some things I have tried to photograph

1872 Dollar with hole in it

1837 5 franc

1913 German mark

1825 British half crown

1843 Canada - New Brunswick one penny token

1960 Lincoln error

Also (I'm not sure what order the photos will show, but) there are 2 photos of what I think is a British coin or gambling token from 1799, in the photo with my fingers you can see the reverse side with some flowery initials

I have quite a few Canadian Coins, What is the equivalent version of the "RED BOOK"

for Canadian coins ?

Thanks for all info - you folks are great.

I can not grade from pictures, as I have openly stated many times, so I am probably wrong, but the 55 does not look quite right to me, and the TD is questionable, but I base that on the hand and neck line and a non-clear photo, But again, I am probably wrong.

I don't see a 55, nor do I see a trade dollar.

The Canadian equivalent of the Redbook would be A Charlton Standard Catalogue Canadian Coins: Charlton

Since you have a few countries there, a Krause might do you so good as well: 1900's: 1900's Krause and 1800's: 1800's Krause

But... if you just have a handful of coins to lookup, NGC has direct links into updated Numismaster pricing (basically what's in the printed Krause guides)

For instance: 1837 5 Francs: 1837 5 Francs

1825 Great Britain 1/2 crown: 1825 1/2 Crown

Hope that helps.

The last on is a Conder token from Dublin Ireland and is dated 1792. There are literally dozens of varieties for that coin and they typically come heavily worn. They were actually used as coins in circulation.

Most of them have the inscription Camac Kyan and Camac Halfpenny around the monogram, the other side reads Incorporated By Act of Parliament 1792. Not sure from the picture but it appears to have either seven or eight harp strings. That would make it from between D&H 50 through D&H 132. (Seven strings is 50 thru 90 and eight strings is 91 thru 132)

There are also some that read Industry has its sure reward 1792. The seven string varieties are D&H 183 ad 184.

That is the best I can tell you from those images.
