my local dealer says, the silver eagles that are now being produced are of no value. the only value they have is the silver content. if i were to buy graded eagles, it is a waste of my money because, they are still being produced.

is this true??

Value is generally the sum of supply and demand. At NGC, we are in the business of grading coins, and ultimately it is the marketplace that values them. Your question would be better asked over at the US Coins forum where fellow members can offer their opinions and advice. What each collector chooses to buy is largely a function of personal likes and dislikes combined with whatever your goals and objectives are. I encourage you to seek as much information from as many sources as possible to assist you in making choices that are right for you.
