Three nice graded coins, Proof/Mint sets, and BU Cent Rolls

1 post in this topic

Hello again!

I've just listed three recently graded coins (two varieties) on eBay.

1897 Barber Quarter NGC MS62 **TONED**

(you may remember this from a thread here a while back)

eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/391099931239?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Will include the original photo certification along with the coin in its new NGC holder (from NCI, graded as a MS60/60) if desired.

eBay Price: $375

CS Price: $325 shipped

1963 Washington Quarter DDO FS-101 NGC MS66 **TOP POP** **TONED**

NGC has graded a total of 129 of these, with 19 reaching MS66 and none higher.

PCGS has graded a total of 125 of this variety, with 4 in MS66, none higher.

1964 Kennedy Half DDO FS-102 NGC UNC Details (Reverse Wheel Mark)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/351358279779?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

A gorgeous coin struck from early dies (you can tell this from the dimpling present in the closeups of the fields) showing clear doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST, the date, the designer's initials, Kennedy's hair, and parts of LIBERTY. I'm not sure where the "Details" designation comes from, really...there is a black smudge across the reverse of the coin. I'm almost sure this coin could be cracked out of the holder, conserved, and re-submitted for a clean grade, a I just DO NOT see any damage to the surface of the coin under the smudge. Upon submission, I thought it was just a smudge of ugly toning. If the coin does not sell here, I will probably end up re-submitting it myself. It is VERY similar in condition to another coin I submitted (probably from the same dies, as it came from the same source) that graded MS65. For now, though, you have a chance to purchase this coin at a discounted rate.

eBay Price: $125

CS Price: $100 shipped

ALSO

I have a couple larger lots of coins I'd LOVE to sell in two groups. That probably won't happen, but hey, a guy can dream, right? (No, my REAL dreams aim much, much higher.)

Here's what I have highlighted today:

*PROOF/MINT Sets - Book Value is $400, will consider reasonable offers. All fit in a Flat Rate Medium Box...would love to just keep them in there and ship like that. Here are the years:

Proof Sets (27): 1967 SMS, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1983 Prestige, 1984 (2), 1985 (3), 1986, 1987, 1988 (8), 1989, 1990, 1990 Prestige, 1993 (2), 2001 Silver Proof

Mint Sets (20): 1970, 1972 (2), 1973, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1987, 1989-1998

*UNC Rolls of Lincoln Wheat Cents - here's the situation. I got these to sell for a friend, and they were all in the plastic tubes you see in the photo. However, me being a bit OCD about making sure the right coins are in the right tubes, I checked them out...and found a few rolls that were mixed and/or short a couple coins. So...I will include the number of rolls, and if applicable, the number of coins in a partial roll. In my list, the price you see is BOOK VALUE. In the case of partial rolls, I've adjusted the price according to how many coins are in the roll. (Yep, some of those early wheat rolls can be very expensive!) Again, I'd love to sell them all at once, but hey...people want to buy what they want to buy. If you look at the photos, you can see these aren't nasty, brown coins...most are full red beauties (with a few end-roll toners.)

Here's the list:

1942 P $140 (42 coins)

1943 P $60

1947 D $46.50 (37 coins)

1947 D (circulated)
