Sir:

 

I have again the honour of laying before you an annual report of the operations

of the mint.

 

From the Treasurer’s statement, herewith transmitted, it will appear that during

the last twelve months there have been struck at the mint

 

......................In Gold Coins, 17,796 pieces, amounting to …....Ds 88,980..

....................In Silver Coins, 1,723,653 pieces, amounting to … ..805,806.50

...................In Copper Coins, 2,072,339 pieces, amounting to …...20,723.39

 

making, in the whole coinage, Three million eight hundred thirteen Thousand seven

hundred & eighty-eight pieces; amounting to Nine hundred fifteen Thousand five

hundred nine Dollars eighty-nine cents.

The table is not printed here but indicates the following coinage: 17,796 half eagles,

1,559,573 half dollars, 64,080 quarter dollars, 100,000 dimes, and 2,072,339 cents.
