Type I and Type II IKE DOLLARS

If I submitted 1976 IKE Dollars, would NGC indicate if they were Type 1 or Type 2? Or would I have to pay the $7 fee to find that out. Could you explain the difference between the two?

The 1976 Ike Types are another free variety that we add to the holder on every submission. The Type 1 has very thick letters around the reverse periphery of the coin, while the Type 2 has noticeably thinner letters.
