FSH: Harry W. Bass Jr. Limited Edition Deluxe Cloth Hardbound Auction Catalogs

3 posts in this topic

I have spare volumes of auction 1 & 2 for Harry W. Bass Jr. sales in the very limited deluxe cloth hardbound edition available @ $295.00 shipped for the pair.

I paid $600.00 for a complete set direct from Bowers & Merena for all 4 sales for my home library.

I later bought spare copies of volumes of 1 & 2 which are the most important catalogs of the Bass sale for my office library.

They have thick Mylar protective covers as issued and are both volume number 9 signed by 7 members of the Bowers & Merena staff.

They printed more of the final 4th sale but volumes 1,2,3 are impossible to find today.

Sales 1 & 2 are the most sought out catalogs as Auction #1 covers all of Harry's U.S. Patterns & Auction #2 covers all of his $1 to $20 Gold.

Bower and Merena went all out on these catalogs as each lot description is extremely beefy and highly informative...

So at over 800 pages between the pair these catalogs are serious reference guides as you can learn more about Patterns or any Gold series then buying specialized books written on each subject.

Unlike the plain brown leatherette covers these are some of the most luxurious hard cover bindings any auction house has ever offered.

There is some minimal shelf wear on the Mylar covers but the books are mint like new with the original prices realized.

Due to weight I'll shipped them via media insured @ $300 boxed and packaged with TLC.

These shouldn't last long so first PM gets them :)
