What's the problem? The mint used to do pre-sales on their sets way back when I first started ordering from them in the '70s. I'm sure that's what they did in 1994 on these sets. They knew the demand would be high so they wanted to get an early start. cool.gif

Three years in the making and then the big release! With the upgraded date of course!

 

I had no idea the mint was so forward-thinking---make a matte set in '94 for release in '94 but make another set with '97 date in '94 and hold it til '97! 893scratchchin-thumb.gif And all along I thought the '97 mattes were minted in '97. Learn something new every day!
