Where to get your values for bidding.

Friends,

Many dealers subscribe to grey sheet price lists for their monthly values on raw coins and sets. A great magazine that my wife got for me yesterday is great and will help to keep up with monthly values of most raw coins I purchase and sell. It is impossible to keep up with today's value using the red book which is actually outdated when it is released for publishing. March to April values on MS65 coins -- +.11, VF graded coins -- -.49. The Magazine I got has some great readings in it and is rather short in pages -- 70. The best and most important to me is the centerfold -- U.S. Coin Price Guide.

The magazine -- COINage (April/2014 Near Perfect Counterfeits) can be purchased at most book stores and also on line -- www.CoinageMag.com

Just another great way to keep track of our fun hobby!!

Happy Coin Collecting

I have had a subscription to it for 10 years now. I enjoy the informative articles each month. Their price guide does give you some average ballpark prices of raw coins.

COINage is a great mag.....my girlfriend adores it for her US collecting. I just wish that there was a world coin version of it or something.

Rick,

When I began reading your journal I thought you were talking about me. I consider you one of my great resources. Like just the other day regarding a raw coin; thanks again.

BUT the best part of most mags are the centerfold and I'll PM you with some of my favorites. I promise you there are much better centerfolds; March 2009 is one of my favs?.

I bought that raw coin and will send it to NCS. I've never had a coin come but in a bodybag. If it does my wife won't give me a mag but a BAG! Also go look at my sheets of currency I started; NO ONE EVER LOOKS.

Later and I'll check out your suggestion.

David

DaveG,

I'm going to admit my ignorance here.......I've never seen World Coin News before, but I think that I may have to subscribe. I checked out the website and wow!! Very cool!

Thanks!
