Actually it was only 8 in a row. Oddly, 8 is the number of new beginnings.

 

And also odd is that, at least down here in FL, when they won it was just as an eclipse was ending. The moon was kinda a reddish orange.

 

If someone were looking for support of supersticions and omens this series delivered beyond expectation. There was even a type of blood sacrifice, as Shilling piched his heart out while very obviously bleeding through his sox. If he's not someone deserving of Boston fan iconization then the city doesn't deserve another winner of any sport any time soon!
