Real or Fake $2.50 Indians

Can we get better pics without the plastic sleeves? Unless the slabs are fake or they have been tampered with, these coins should be real. The major grading services have a lot of experience in authentication this heavily counterfeited series.

ANACS, PCGS, and NGC were formed to authenticate coins. Grading was only incidental to establishing that the pieces were genuine and unaltered.

Lose the plastic sleeves, and maybe we could get a better look at your coins. If PCGS graded your coins, I doubt very much that either of them is bogus.

Both of those are common dates with tens of thousands available. If the slabs are genuine, the coins are genuine.

What about the zeros looks strange?

Unfortunately your pictures do not provide enough detail of the dates to answer your question. You might compare your coins with these pieces.
