Long Beach coin show. It was fun. See spot run.

Left the house at 9AM.

Arrived at show 12:30PM.

Parked on street, saved $6.25

It was hot and humid.

Inside was cool and nice.

Picked up auction coin, Wisconsin NGC68

Met JamminJ, Gmarguli, Jom.

Had lunch together, talked coins, talked politics, gossiped.

Back to show.

Inside was cool and nice.

Wandered about with Jom looking for AT coins, commems and buff nickels.

Show was slow most of the week, including Wednes, Thurs, Fri, Sat.

Purchased a few nice commems during the week.

Wandered some more.

Left about 4:30PM

Arrived at house 7:30PM

I thought it was a GREAT show...for collectors wanting to buy AT'd and cleaned coins in TPG holders that is. Otherwise the show was crappy..... ...except for the lunches and dinners with all collectors!

 

I followed The Evil One and Jammin' today while they picked up some nice Foreign coins and, as mentioned, wandered with TT. With all the non-sense that goes on in the US coin side of things "Dark Side" coins can be attractive. So can Currency...something I've been thinking about for a LONG time and something TT and I talked about a bit.

I followed The Evil One and Jammin' today while they picked up some nice Foreign coins and, as mentioned, wandered with TT. With all the non-sense that goes on in the US coin side of things "Dark Side" coins can be attractive.

 

Be careful with the darkside coins the can be quite addicting.

 

Didn't you mention somewhere else that you wanted to keep you focus in the Indian gold coins and the Buffs?

This is the driest show report I've ever read.
