THE COIN IMAGE TRAP: Ensnared!! posted by The Artist's Collection

Here's the story of how I was sabotaged by a dealer's auction coin image trap.

I recently purchased, on line, an 1873 25c Seated liberty in the ever appealing PR66 grade.

This coin was the most alluring entity imaginable: Picture a Florescent red-gold Seated Liberty on a yellow-green pasture with the golden red sunrise rising above the stars in heaven. Breathtaking in it's stunning vision. And, at a mere $4K+ figure. I was the high bidder. When I received it I was dumb- founded by a dingy gray surfaced phantom of what had been LOVE AT 1ST

SIGHT.

Long story short: He got it back and replaced it within 24 hours with a very

nice PF66. Look very hard and very deep before you leap.
