ASE 2011 DDO ?

2 posts in this topic

I recently came across a 2011 ASE from the anniversary set that very clearly has doubling on the obverse. Both coin world and Numismatic news have reported on it. I believe it's called the

"Wexler WDDO-001" or the "Coneca 2011 ASE DDO-001". My question is, if I send it in will NGC attribute or recognize it as a DD and label it accordingly ? Thank you BruceS

We evaluated this variety when it was announced, and we believed that it was too minor to sustain lasting interest. This finding may change in time, especially if it is included in The Cherrypickers' Guide, but presently we will not certify it.
