The luster was great from memory.... here are some luster shots

The luster is stronger than that in hand. There are no issues with the coin that are not plainly visible in the photograph. I do think the coin was undergraded by at least one full point.

He's suggesting that the last digit was changed to a 4. 1804 is a rare date in this series and even in AG condition is around a $2k coin; compared to say an 1805 which doesn't approach $2k until the AU range.

 

I'm not an expert in this series and the photographs aren't great, but the 4 does look odd.
