It's Funny how we can retain our childhood-like emoitions at time

O.K. here we are, into another year. No, I didn't win any special plaques for writing, or any coveted special collection awards. BUT, I knew that I would win some awards. Every year as the Janurary date nears, I wait like a child, to see if I still retain the set awards, which I have been getting for years. I have them all saved, and keep saying to myself, that I am going to frame them some day. Still havn't though. This year, My desire was to take the top set For the Canadian PL dollars, 1953-67. I managed to get get a couple of coins at the last minute, allowing me to do so. I didn't think that there would be a chance, since NGC purged about 5-6000 of my set points this year. I had been working to take this set for 3 years, finally positioning myself to take out the 3 sets above me. Well. The purge took care of that, and me at the same time. I managed to strategically get my points in at the right time, placing the current number one set into second. So, on Dec. 3, I had the right point score for the award. Within the week though, they had place another coin into their set and had taken the lead back. So now, I got the award, but my set sits back in the second seat. I'm still waiting on my cross-overs. Hopefully, they will cross, I will get my tons of points back, and will be back in that seat which I have been awarded for , this year. Competitavely speaking, it sounds like I'm running a race.

Congratulations to all the winners this year, and the best of luck, skill, and postioning to all those running the same kind of race that I seem to run with my sets.
